The Royal Players are set to stage Ken Ludwig's adaptation of Agatha Christie's renowned mystery, Murder on the Orient Express, at The Royal Theatre in downtown Benton. Sponsored by Advanced Alarm Technologies, this production will run over two weekends in February.
Taking place on the opulent Orient Express, the narrative unfolds after midnight when a passenger is found murdered in his locked cabin, halting the train due to a snowdrift. With eight potential suspects and no means of escape, the iconic detective Hercule Poirot must unravel the mystery before another murder occurs. Ludwig's adaptation infuses a contemporary theatrical flair into Christie's masterful whodunit, combining suspense and elegance with moments of humor while remaining true to the original story's intricate design.
